Racing Day at School

I was working on a school project the night before it was due, and everything was coming along nicely.

The next morning I went to a reasturant where everyone at school was eating, and stood nervously next to the stack of serving trays for a while before ordering something, having just noticed the menu. As I was standing here, numerous people, perplexingly, asked me if I had just had surgery, which I hadn't.

I went to a table to eat, and, finishing, went to the school. We were to all race our racers which we had been working on. Mine was some sort of flat piece of cardboard or the like, with a handle on strings to the left and right sides. Shortly after I went out of sight of the crowd, my racer wouldn't move, and I knew that I wouldn't win the race.

Defeating the Harpy

I and a group of other people had formed a Diablo II gaming group at my school. We mostly played solo, but were hording items together.

Before school started, we were meeting in the area where we kept our books full of Diablo II information. I had taken two of the books home the last time we were at school, and was carrying them in. One was an extremly thick book which, among other things, had item stats in it and the other was much thinner.

Other members of the group were also there, and I chatted a bit with them. Soon, however, we discovered that a harpy was roosting in an area a little above our nook. Jumping on it, we tried to defeat it as best we could, while it flailed around. Eventually we suceeded, possibly to some casualties.
