Flying Foreigner

I was helping out the south guard station of foreign city's entrance, having won their trust after some strife there. The north guard station and the city were separated from the south station by a moat, which was crossed by a sturdy bridge made of pilled-up dirt.

As noone else could manage to swim across the moat to the north guard entrance to inform them of our recent troubles, I tried to do so, encountering great trouble as well from the waves. When swimming, I was able to breathe the water, although doing so for too long would result in me not being able to get oxygen. Swimming in this manner was very fun, and I could easily dive beneath the surface as well.

I could also fly, however, by flapping my arms, and from about the halfway point of the bridge I could reach the northern guard station with some luck. I did so, and tried to inform them of our recent strife, but realized that I had forgot the particular messages I had been told to relay. The northern guards did not trust me at first, until I informed them that I had previously been in their city, at which point they recognized me.

Going back to the southern guard station and asking, I attempted to get a guard from the north station who was there to take the message, but he did not pay me any mind as he ran back to his station.

Chasing him along the bridge, I soon came to the gate to the city, but remembered that the up elevator it possessed would only work for people from the city; others could only go down to the bridge. I then dived in the water, that I might reach the guard post.
