Losing Flash

I was going to some sort of camp, and had carried the new family camera and a 32meg flash card. On my way to the camp after the others had gotten ahead of me, I lost the card.

After looking for the card, I continued on my way to the camp, riding my elephant and carrying a ferret and another organism. The elephant had great difficulty on the slopes, but we eventually made it, after I put together the broken flash memory cards which had popped out of the critters after we made it up, and put them back in their slots.

The next day, there was a computer fair in the grassy area in front of the camp. I asked an older man first if he had seen a flash memory card, but after he said no and walked away I figured that I probably sounded like I wanted him to answer a survey.

I went to the booth where I thought I had dropped the card and asked if they had found one. They immediately said yes, taking me in and dropping it into my hand. Before turning it over I told them that I thought it was a 32meg card, to verify that it was mine and that I wasn't scamming them. The label on the other side of the card was covered in black marker however, and quite unreadable. I pocketed the card, eager to get to my camera and try it out.
