Fragmentary Jumping

I was jumping between buildings when I realized that I was dreaming. I looked down at my hands and rubbed them together to try to stabilize the dream. I then continued to jump/fly, feeling like I was mentally counteracting gravity by pulling myself upward. While I was falling back towards earth, it felt like I was going down a drop on a roller coaster.

Searching a Skyscraper

I was in a tall office building, looking for something or someone. I kept using the elevators to visit different floors. The elevator system was very complex, featuring a number of different shafts and doors and types of elevators. Some of the elevators had attendants, and some seemed to have bars. The floors I got off on also seemed to vary in size.

Finally I got off at a hospital and started looking around. I went behind the desk and talked to the employees. I looked into the back area, although they didn't seem to want me to go back there. The employees weren't entirely friendly, and didn't seem to have what I was looking for. One of the nurses was dressed mostly in black scrubs or whatnot. I kissed her, and then suddenly realized I was in a dream; my view became very vivid at this point, the dream starting to really feel like real life. Soon after, though, I awoke.

Diverse Empire's Groceries

I was maintaining the grocery database for the DE staff in a text file. The file was getting rather long and disorganized, so I told the rest of the staff that I'd make the categories more sensible, and that I'd think about writing a piece of software to automatically download the file, which was on a FTP server, and parse it.

Time Warps in the Hallways

I was in school, and when the bell rang at the end of art, I didn't want to leave, so I stayed where I was. When the next bell rang, I was scarred of retribution until I realized that it didn't matter if I missed the class right after art as it wasn't academic.

I realized that the second bell was actually the tardy bell, so I began to dash to the next class. On the way there, I realized I had left my roller backpack in the art room, and so I ran back and retrieved it. While once more on the way to the next class, I worried about the time warps which might affect whether I got there in a timely manner.

Sunday School, Tea, and Grilled Cheeses

I was in school, in a classroom which was also a giftshop of sorts. We were talking and such, evidentially following some course plan.

When the bell rang, I dashed out of class, saying goodbye, and then remembered it was the end of school. Ducking back in, saying have a good summer, the substitute teacher who was there said there was still Sunday. Puzzled, I went to the eating area, where they had large greasy grilled cheeses and tea.

Sitting down, I said that this was the worst meal we'd had all year. The others didn't agree with me, however, and soon I decided that it wasn't too bad after all. I asked if we really did have school on sunday, and someone responded in an annoyed tone that they wished we didn't.

Ships of Air and Water

Starting up some kind of game, I was on an airship which was under some crisis. Dropping rapidly, all the lifeboats were cut off and we went to shore on them.

We later boarded our ship again, sailing about on the water and entertaining visitors in our shop.

Notice of Crimes

I and the rest of my class were on a field trip with our latin and architecture teacher, and were walking around in a futuristic looking building of steel and glass. I had gotten a notice, however, of crimes from the governor of Virginia, and was worried that I would be arrested soon. One of them was for some sort of copyright infringement, and I was particularly worried about this one.

I saw the governor walking around as I frantically dashed around the museum, trying to avoid him. I showed the copyright charge to some of my classmates as well, trying to figure out what I should do.

Flying Bubble-Gum Chewing Vampires

I was a vampire in a group of vampires, the territory of which a new vampire had entered. He possessed some bubble-gum, which I tried. One of the kinds made one fly, and I liked it much better than my Juicy Fruit.

I resolved to get some of this gum. The new vampire evidentially wanted to fight but we never got around to it.

Later, I was in a gaming store and saw a display of similar packages to the new vampire's bubble gum, but they were odd edible balls. I then picked up some darkly wrapped 'Saved by the Bell' gum, which came in many flavors and was near the register. The people with me called for me to come as I poked through the flavors, so I quickly purchased a medium size pack of orange.

Ephemeral Mall

I was walking around mall-ish place, nowhere to get food, nothing to do. I ordered a taco from a Mexican restaurant and ate it while pondering what else to get, but by the time I was ready the restaurant had disappeared. I looked for a nearby chinese restaurant, but it had disappeared as well.

I was wandering around when my parents pulled up for a boat show that was occurring, and began following them around for lack of anything better to do.

Planetary Exploration

I was in a dune buggy type vehicle, riding along with Mom. We were on a paved road along with some other similar vehicles, on some platform above a planet. We picked up some scraps from earth- foam paddles and a pen- and put them outside of the vehicle, where the atmosphere would break them down and then allow the car to absorb the material, helping it produce the things it needed to produce. Other vehicles were also looking for such materials.

The dune buggies went very fast and accelerated quickly as well. After picking up these materials, we dropped off of the platform and fell to the planet bellow.

Gelatin Thumbs

I was sitting in a car, listening to a story on the radio about a group of teenagers who had cut their thumbs off and then tried to sew a gelatin replacement on their hands. The procedure had gone wrong, leaving them with no thumbs.

I then began imagining what it would be like to eat without a thumb, and pondered with pictures flowing through my mind how easy it would be to eat various foods.

I was in a warehouse and saw a person that I had never before met in real life, but knew from the internet. I greeted him, but he simply threw kitchen knives at me repeatedly, crying. I dodged the knives and tried to figure out what was wrong, thinking that he just didn't recognize me.

He questioned me, asking how I could dodge all his knives, and I responded that that was what I did, and I had become skilled at it.

Deer Attack

I was in a schoolbus along with a group of other people, riding through a woods, trying to get away from something. The buss's seats were as wide as the buss, leaving no aisle.

Suddenly, ahead, there was a group of deer. They had arms, and were really more of a half-deer half-human creature. They shouted at us, and as we were hurdling downhill, began throwing spears and shooting arrows.

I, very fearful and staring at the back of the buss as spears embedded themselves in the frame, wondered who had given them such technology. We crossed a river, unhurt, and then began driving on a road, trying to get away from the creatures quickly, and passing other vehicles on the way.

Racing Day at School

I was working on a school project the night before it was due, and everything was coming along nicely.

The next morning I went to a reasturant where everyone at school was eating, and stood nervously next to the stack of serving trays for a while before ordering something, having just noticed the menu. As I was standing here, numerous people, perplexingly, asked me if I had just had surgery, which I hadn't.

I went to a table to eat, and, finishing, went to the school. We were to all race our racers which we had been working on. Mine was some sort of flat piece of cardboard or the like, with a handle on strings to the left and right sides. Shortly after I went out of sight of the crowd, my racer wouldn't move, and I knew that I wouldn't win the race.

Defeating the Harpy

I and a group of other people had formed a Diablo II gaming group at my school. We mostly played solo, but were hording items together.

Before school started, we were meeting in the area where we kept our books full of Diablo II information. I had taken two of the books home the last time we were at school, and was carrying them in. One was an extremly thick book which, among other things, had item stats in it and the other was much thinner.

Other members of the group were also there, and I chatted a bit with them. Soon, however, we discovered that a harpy was roosting in an area a little above our nook. Jumping on it, we tried to defeat it as best we could, while it flailed around. Eventually we suceeded, possibly to some casualties.

Escaping An Enemy

I was fleeing an enemy, along with numerous other people. I had attempted to do this before, but had failed. My view was from far above as I dashed about, attempting to avoid them. One of their cannons shot me, and stole most of my gold. The rest was dropped on the ground and I rushed to pick it up, so that I might not get shot again and killed, with no gold to defend myself.

Eventually I made it behind a barrier, where it was evidently somewhat safer. I began talking to some of the other people who were fleeing, and made some friends.

Swamp Battle

I was dressed in black, carrying a long sword in my hand and wearing skulls upon my knees. A small, childlike person carrying a shorter sword and a woman were also with me.

We came upon a swamp, dense enough to walk upon after one's feet had sank to a point where the muck was a little bellow the knees. Entering, a number of lanky creatures came up, and we launched into battle. I aimed my sword at their necks and chopped a number of their heads off, but the child that was with us couldn't bring himself to follow my example and began to cry, muttering something about his parents.

While this was happening, the woman had dissapeared into the swamp. We set off, walking in the swamp, the child continuing to cry.

Gaming In Latin Class

I was in Latin class, playing a Super Mario GameBoy game on my Visor Deluxe. The game was suddenly very noisy, with lots of jumping noise and background music.

The teacher thought it was a cell phone, and asked whose it was. I tried to mute it, but it wouldn't work. Then I tried to get back to the launcher, so that I could turn it off, but it was very slow in doing so. Everyone else was looking around the room, but only a few seemed to see that the noise was coming from around me.

Finally, I got it turned off and slipped it back in my pocket.

Infrared Pen

I was clicking my G2 pen in order to write with it when I noticed that my Visor Deluxe, which I was holding in my other hand, was flipping between Memo Pad categories when I did so.

I decided that clicking the pen made it trigger the power button, and that I hadn't noticed it before because the power button was broken, resulting in this feature only working when the unit was turned on. As infrared is the only wireless setup on my Visor, it must have been using that, although I was somewhat mystified as it wasn't on a level with the infrared port.

I then went to the Todo List and began writing things down with my G2, happy with my discovery that it could function as a nifty wireless stylus.

The NSR code was scrolling in front of my eyes, evidentially controlled by me although there was no scroll bar or other interface. It was formated as Project Builder would formats code.

At one point, a line containing a text string that lead me to believe it was the section of code for the help command popped up, but then I realized that absolutely nothing was done with that string, and was confused, as I thought that the weird line should cause an error when compiling.

(at one point I thought 'oh, great, I can study the code while I'm sleeping')

Trying on a Robe

I was playing on a MUD that I recently joined, and standing in a small nook or shop with only one exit, to the west.

I had a list of instructions printed on a white piece of paper, and was following them. They involved taking some sort of robe or other wearable item, wearing it, using it's power or just seeing how powerful it was when worn, and then using the 'indeed' emote to indicate that the next person could try it on.

I completed the instructions, but I don't think that there was anyone else there. Then I woke up.
