Running Across the Peninsula

I was wandering through the edge of a farmer's field, full of tall dry corn stalks, attempting to get to the other side. A little to my left and through some corn stalks was a forest. At times I would run into my classmates.

In going through the field we were making large pathways, and when I finally got to the other side of the field I was able to see quite a number of them and various classmates making their way through them. I ran back through some other people's pathways for a while, then returned to the edge of the field.

From the edge I could see the water on the other side of the peninsula we were on, and it looked to be not far away. I considered it to be quite the view, almost being able to see both sides of the peninsula, and said such to some classmates. Some dared me to run to the water but I decided not to, as the land between us and the water was owned by other people who might arrest me for trespassing.

We then left and returned to our base camp.

Java controlled tape player

I was entering a competition, involving various biological tasks and ending in a contest to build a device controlled by Java.

I had completed the first two tasks, those involving living things, and was going to start on the third but read a sign that said only Java experts should attempt it. Disheartened, I was not certain if I wanted to continue, but then one of the people running the contest told me that I'd be fine, and lead me to the area of the competition.

I backed the vehicle I was driving into an unoccupied parking spot and got out, taking various things out of the back and setting then on the workspace behind the parking spot. I decided that I was going to create a device that allowed Java to control my portable tape player, and began pondering how to do this.

I decided to begin with the physical parts, and pondered how to build a machine capable of pressing the various buttons. Some buttons were placed side-by-side, which prevented me from using bars placed across it to press them, my only idea at the time. I contemplated using mechanics suspended above the buttons, but didn't think that they would work very well.

(Just updated the backlog; sorry for the delay. The new dreams start at April 11.)

Attack of the Ancient Monuments

I was playing with some odd coin-operated toys that were set up in a bunch together. There were a number with two exits and large banners beneath plastic beside the entrances proclaiming what they simulated.

Later, I and two others there got on a motorcycle coin-op. The dream shifted to a view where people were snared by other people with long thin tongue-like appendages. It was then revealed that the snarers were really not people but pieces of ancient monuments and the like. Our view switched to that of a single woman who had entered a shop, been snared, and then been allowed to escape, although with a limp.

Not remembering where her apartment was but fairly certain she had one, she tried to find it with the only two items in her pockets; a battery labeled with a hotel's name, and an unused card labeled with another business's name. Ruling out the card, she examined the hotel, but other than for a few very expensive apartments could not find any that might be hers.

Seeking help, someone bought her some pieces of chicken to eat and set out to find her a place to sleep. Finding a free bed in a common room, she suddenly remembered that she was a witch, triggered by the candle and chanting of another occupant, and remembered that she could cast a spell to find her apartment.

At this time, however, an indian tribe came roaring through, taking many hostages to bolster it's ranks. Arriving at a large bleachered area just on the other side of the common room, they stopped, and allowed a few people to choose a few other people for unknown reasons before settling down to chatting.

School Across the Ocean

I was going to school at a different school than I'd gone to the rest of my life, for some reason somewhat out of my control, but I was trying to make the best of it. The school was also quite a distance from our home, across a body of water, but for some reason other former classmates had transfered to it as well.

My Mom called to tell me that she couldn't pick me up, so I made attempts at finding a ride. Some students were playing a game in front of the gym before class, and when the bell rang I followed them in. I discovered that we were going to P.E., which evidentially took the place of Science for all but 2 days of the week.

Inside the gym there were giant bins of tiny scrunched up paper balls like the ones students had been playing with outside, as well as odd desks which had construction paper attached to them.

Later, someone which I had known a while back but hadn't seen recently invited me over that weekend to talk about lucid dreams. Remembering that he had an interest in them as well, I eagerly accepted.

Spaceworthy Mustang

Playing a Planetarion-type game, someone asked me if I was aware of any freighters that they could hijack to transport some goods elsewhere. I said that I might be, and thinking further, realized that I knew of just the one.

It was loaded up with 120 tons of cargo, some of which I had helped to get there. I was somewhat weary of it due to this, and when asked why, explained it was not because of the cargo making it more difficult to capture but due to something else.

Logging in to Planetarion, I hopped in my space fighter, which appeared like a slightly blocky sports car and which was evidentially made by Mustang. Speeding down to the space dock, I was happily surprised when the freighter appeared right in front of my nose, exiting the water which was used as a landing pad for some spaceships. I quickly radioed back to the other person that I'd found it, and, glancing around, that it was exiting space dock D.

Spinning around, I zoomed back home, the person I'd talked to doing the same. Somewhere along the way, however, I got out of my vehicle, we angered another group of people, and our vehicles got rather messed up. Catching back up to my Mustang, I held on to the bumper, flipping open the gas tank's lid to indicate that we were about to turn, although I did not have access to many controls, except for the gas pedal, which I had previously used.

Worrying when I was unable to brake the car from on the bumper, I was thankful when it's occupant executed the turn into my driveway. The other person's car was parked in the lawn. The Mustang was a little dented up, but still in good condition.

His vehicle, on the other hand, had been torn to pieces, and it's metallic blanket on the bottom was broken, exposing parts which one of the mexican monkey-like people was quickly removing, claiming he had the right to since the blanket was broken. As he left, I stole his tools, some of which I saw would be rather useful. He quickly returned, but then left again, leaving some more tools.

Sunday School, Tea, and Grilled Cheeses

I was in school, in a classroom which was also a giftshop of sorts. We were talking and such, evidentially following some course plan.

When the bell rang, I dashed out of class, saying goodbye, and then remembered it was the end of school. Ducking back in, saying have a good summer, the substitute teacher who was there said there was still Sunday. Puzzled, I went to the eating area, where they had large greasy grilled cheeses and tea.

Sitting down, I said that this was the worst meal we'd had all year. The others didn't agree with me, however, and soon I decided that it wasn't too bad after all. I asked if we really did have school on sunday, and someone responded in an annoyed tone that they wished we didn't.

Ships of Air and Water

Starting up some kind of game, I was on an airship which was under some crisis. Dropping rapidly, all the lifeboats were cut off and we went to shore on them.

We later boarded our ship again, sailing about on the water and entertaining visitors in our shop.
