Racing Day at School

I was working on a school project the night before it was due, and everything was coming along nicely.

The next morning I went to a reasturant where everyone at school was eating, and stood nervously next to the stack of serving trays for a while before ordering something, having just noticed the menu. As I was standing here, numerous people, perplexingly, asked me if I had just had surgery, which I hadn't.

I went to a table to eat, and, finishing, went to the school. We were to all race our racers which we had been working on. Mine was some sort of flat piece of cardboard or the like, with a handle on strings to the left and right sides. Shortly after I went out of sight of the crowd, my racer wouldn't move, and I knew that I wouldn't win the race.

Defeating the Harpy

I and a group of other people had formed a Diablo II gaming group at my school. We mostly played solo, but were hording items together.

Before school started, we were meeting in the area where we kept our books full of Diablo II information. I had taken two of the books home the last time we were at school, and was carrying them in. One was an extremly thick book which, among other things, had item stats in it and the other was much thinner.

Other members of the group were also there, and I chatted a bit with them. Soon, however, we discovered that a harpy was roosting in an area a little above our nook. Jumping on it, we tried to defeat it as best we could, while it flailed around. Eventually we suceeded, possibly to some casualties.

Escaping An Enemy

I was fleeing an enemy, along with numerous other people. I had attempted to do this before, but had failed. My view was from far above as I dashed about, attempting to avoid them. One of their cannons shot me, and stole most of my gold. The rest was dropped on the ground and I rushed to pick it up, so that I might not get shot again and killed, with no gold to defend myself.

Eventually I made it behind a barrier, where it was evidently somewhat safer. I began talking to some of the other people who were fleeing, and made some friends.

Swamp Battle

I was dressed in black, carrying a long sword in my hand and wearing skulls upon my knees. A small, childlike person carrying a shorter sword and a woman were also with me.

We came upon a swamp, dense enough to walk upon after one's feet had sank to a point where the muck was a little bellow the knees. Entering, a number of lanky creatures came up, and we launched into battle. I aimed my sword at their necks and chopped a number of their heads off, but the child that was with us couldn't bring himself to follow my example and began to cry, muttering something about his parents.

While this was happening, the woman had dissapeared into the swamp. We set off, walking in the swamp, the child continuing to cry.

Going to the Arcade

My parents took me to an arcade, and gave me about $12 to buy tokens with. Going from cash register to cash register and getting a few at each, I ended up with a handful of the silver coins, having spent all my money. At one of the cash registers, the clerk had said that she only dealt in cash when I asked for the tokens, and so I skipped to the next register.

Looking at the tokens, I figured that they must have an ID number magnetically stored in them, as they couldn't be differentiated if not.

Behind the cash registers there was a staircase which led down to a series of lanes which looked like those in bowling alleys. Lining all the lanes were gambling machines. I wanted to use them, but everyone else was still upstairs so I went over to join them.

I used some of my coins in the games and other machines along the walls while listening the people with me talk about Homestar Runner and other things.

Looking at the rack of items opposite the wall, I spotted a bag of Andes baking chips. I lamented the fact that I had spent all my money, as the establishment would not take tokens as payment for the items on their racks.

After I had walked around some more, someone else showed me two green cartons of andes mints cut into large circles, each wrapped in saran wrap. She said that she wanted to buy some of the baking chips, but evidentially didn't have enough money and wanted to enter in a venture with me whereby we'd split the cost. I was once again sad that I didn't have any money with me.

Going to a Convention

I was with my parents at some kind of convention, rather bored, when Dad suggested that we look for a new computer for me. Getting quite excited, I started looking around.

There were numerous booths scattered about which sold Macs, but few seemed to have laptops, which we were looking for. The first I saw was a PowerBook, I think, but it didn't have any specifications listed, which disturbed me. A sign listed the price as 11, beside which another sign said 'Payments of $500'. I had trouble with this calculation, and couldn't figure out if it was cheap or expensive.

We continued to walk about, seeing a variety of weird computers, including one which had an stretching screen. Reaching a stair case, I bashed it with my fist a few times while considering the math problem, and after the first few steps I had realized the price of the PowerBook.

After going up the stairs, I spotted another laptop, this time an iBook. Disappointed that it wasn't a PowerBook, I continued looking.

I had followed my parents to a section of the convention which seemed to be about farming. There was a large farm vehicle towing a long, empty trailer in half of the room. The rest of the room was covered in a thick layer of hay, and there was some kind of exit in the ceiling.

Dodging the vehicle while trying to exit the room from the way we had entered, I was unsuccessful and almost got run over. I then tried to follow my parents through the roof, but fell through a hole in the hay.

I landed in a large, dark room with black walls, floors, and ceiling - rather like a cavern. I and some other people hijacked a car that was evidently intended for use in exterminating me. It could fire 'Yummy Snacks with Tiny Firecrackers', I think, which I had been eating earlier, and was generally nifty. We drove around for a while, circling some people sitting in folding chairs.

I was suddenly adventuring with someone else in KNO, jumping about an icy map with lots of water. After a while, we arrived back at the cavern.

One of my classmates walked in with a really cool wing-shaped object, an old Russian flying machine which could lift one person. Playing around with the controls, we found the on and off switch as well as all kinds of other stuff. Finally, I took the flyer and he got in the car, I believe, and we took off.

Flying over the KNO landscape, my classmate quickly outpaced me and got beyond my sight. There were a number of floating cloud like objects, although they were red and looked more like rocks than clouds. Thinking them harmless, I ran into one, and got damaged severely, taking me down to 2 hearts from about 6 or so. Frantically trying to dodge them now, I crashed again, dying. I was regretful that I'd ruined the flyer.
