A Moment of Lucidity

I was playing a game, going through a bunch of puzzles in a first person view. There was a short person who was guiding me, and giving basic hints.

My guide told me to, when the door in front of me was open, dash through the blinds on the other side and to just run straight forward. After I went through the blinds, however, I saw that I was standing on a set of stairs, and, overcome by fear, I veered to the left and slowed down. The stairs then disappeared, and my guide reappeared.

The room looked like a pantry, with a refrigerator, stove, and other appliances lining the wall across from me, and a washer and drier, both piled high with clothes, on my side of the room, as well as a number of other tables and items. My guide said something about just waiting, and I began to do so.

Soon, however, the shadows began to lengthen and shake, and I pointed in fright to my own shadow, letting out a yell. Looking at the ceiling near the shadow's head, however, I saw a triangle shaped sign, like those on the back of 18 wheelers, or some sort of triangle vent, slowly fade into existance.

Somehow, this let me know immediately that I was dreaming, and I began to walk around. Then, however, I woke up, feeling as if my viewpoint was slowly being drawn out of my body until I was awake.

A Great Journey

I journeyed to another place by using a function on my calculator which took a vnum and then transported me there. I then visited a number of locales.

First, I was in a large shop, like K-Mart or whatnot. I was looking for a clock which I had at home but for some reason had to buy. I found the sales display of it, and started looking through the Lego aisles for the actual clocks. Not finding it, I searched for the clock section.

Unable to find this, I returned to the area where I saw the sales display clock, intending to ask the salesman. He evaded my questions, and the area soon changed into something of a pool with a hill in the middle, and was flooded with a thin layer of water.

This area, the location of a game, proved to be GREAT fun. The object of the game seemed to be to prevent your opponents from winning, or perhaps getting away from you. You would dash around in the water, usually with your stomach on the floor, and attempt to detain or generally physically handle people.

The salesman was also still there, standing up, but I ignored him after I entered the game. Charles was also there, and I would follow him about at times. I would swim about, grabbing people at random or when they attacked us, and, often times for the females, pull up their skirts and burry my head between their legs, while swimming.

The pool then, unfortunately, dried up and shrank until it was the size of a rather small + sign. As I got out of it, alone I believe, I was at a friend's house. After some time, the house changed and the friend was replaced by another friend.

Next began my medieval adventure, beginning, I think, with me driving down the road, my parents in the other seats. As we drove down the road, I pointed out things on the side of the road, either trying to prove a point or show them features of a particular place.

First, I pointed to a large RC car which was flying about just above the car. Next, showed several other floating RC cars on the sides of the road, and then as we rounded a turn I showed them a line of poles which had various race cars, RC cars, and a cow placed on them. Somehow I had known that we would see these things.

After we arrived at our destination, a small shop, I first went to the back door and talked to a few dogs that were there. The shop looked like my house, and the back door that I went to was really my house's front door.

There was a large black dog, a medium size golden dog, and a small but somewhat old odd dog, with green and dark brown splotches. The last dog's back legs were attached to each other. He was evidentially a new breed created by some weird force.

They were at first hostile towards me, but soon they settled down and just talked about their lives. Their tales were very depressing, but as I was unable to do anything I soon closed the door and went inside.

I then picked up a half a gallon bag of shredded cheese and a package of rolls. I put the cheese in the sink, and put some rolls into the toaster oven. I didn't get a few quite in, and they quickly burned up. The old woman next to me, also using a toaster oven, suggested a plan of action. Trying this, I found that it worked, and my rolls were no longer accidentally incinerated. At some point, Mom came looking for me, as I had evidentially been in the shop for a long time.

Next, I left the shop and began walking around outside. The landscape had changed drastically, as there was no longer a major road, the car had disappeared, and the shop was now a castle. I walked around, examining it's walls, before spotting another building and heading towards it. I walked around it, and saw several piles of supplies. I decided that these must be for the army I was joining.

There was also a pile of small canteens with alcoholic stuff in them, and I sampled a few after some people who had been debating whether to give them to the soldiers or not had moved on. They tasted fiery, and seemed to make me feel a bit different with each drink.

I then overheard a tale while following some people around, and took note of it. At one point on the second building's walls there was a dagger which went up, then down, repeatedly.

Finally, I went back home, and added to my dreamlog, which was now composed of a series of fences was probably no longer an actual dreamlog, information about the story and my adventure. The story occupied an entire fence, out of the three I could see.

Climbing over the fences, some people walked by, asking me if I had read anything by a particular author. I said no, but that I had this short story written by him which I invited them to read. They chuckled and continued on their way.

(my dreams last night were a mess to sort out.)

Lucid Driving

I was being driven around with a sort of 'gang', in a large truck. After a while, I was the one driving, and then I was in the car with Mom, and then Mom disappeared too.

Realizing, for some reason, that this must be a dream, I looked at my hands while driving, still worrying a bit about crashing, and saw that they still looked normal. This, however, didn't set me off, and I continued to think that I was in a dream, although I don't remember looking at my watch.

I immediately drove home as I realized this, for I also realized that I was on the back roads near my house. When I got there, I told my parents that I was dreaming. They didn't respond for a long time, then looked at each other, and, I think, broke out laughing.

(wasn't very vivid, and indeed seemed more like 'dreaming about lucidity'...)

Sleep Reading

The NSR code was scrolling in front of my eyes, evidentially controlled by me although there was no scroll bar or other interface. It was formated as Project Builder would formats code.

At one point, a line containing a text string that lead me to believe it was the section of code for the help command popped up, but then I realized that absolutely nothing was done with that string, and was confused, as I thought that the weird line should cause an error when compiling.

(at one point I thought 'oh, great, I can study the code while I'm sleeping')

English Class

English class had just started, with the math teacher substituting and the class taking place in her room. We had just been given new books recently, but had still kept our old ones for a bit.

The teacher called out our names one by one, like the french teacher usually does, marking down who'd done their homework. She had called my name and I was looking through the book, trying to find the page everyone said it was on, but always got to a different page.

I was getting worried that I hadn't done my home work, and started flipping through the book to try and find the graphic that was in the lower right corner. Finally finding it, I realized that I hadn't seen the page before in my life.

The teacher began to mark me down as not having done the work, shaking her head and reprimanding me, but then, looking at the page in my binder for the first time, I realized that I had done the exercises on that page in the old book, and shouted what I had done.

She nodded, marking this down.

Forgetting the Play

Mom was driving me to a big play, organized by a teacher at school. I was to be in it, but had evidentially forgotten about this until the night it was to be put on, and didn't have a script or costume.

Arriving there, I talked to the teacher and was relieved to find out that I wasn't needed.

Class Real Estate

Our class was looking for a house or other piece of real estate to buy, and I went out in the car to look over the one we were currently looking at.

Driving by it, I accidentally hit someone's RC car which had been driving in front of me. The car hit my bumper and then bounced into the next car's bumper, continuing like this for a while.

The owner soon came from where he had been standing a few cars ahead and picked up the RC car. I apologized but he just looked at me, not saying anything.

After I got back to our headquarters, everyone was in one room, watching a movie while laying, nude, in front of the large screen.

I didn't know where I'd lay, so I stayed in the first few rooms. At one point one of the girls came out for a bit, standing near me. I watched her discreetly, and she made weird comments which puzzled me.

I wanted to watch the movie so I stayed at the doors for a while, then took a dvd copy of it and ripped out the unnecessary parts, after which I began to watch it.

I then learned that I was emitting some chemical which made all women want to have sex, and the officials were trying to quarantine me until it was safe.

Battling Star Wars Droids

I was in a cave with a number of my classmates, who were sitting down. Graham had a bright rapier and was walking around.

I got up to leave for the bathroom, and screamed when a C3-PO type droid grabbed my arm. Pulling back, it froze in the position it had assumed as I proceeded to hit it over the head with my clasped fists.

I then hit other droids, both C3-POs and Battle Droids from episode 1, who were standing in bathroom stalls, in a similar manner, overtop the stall. I wasn't able to summon much strength, however, and soon turned around to watch Graham.

Graham was using his rapier to fight the captain of the droids, not doing too well, but then slicing the captain through his upper chest. Falling down from the pipe they had been standing on, he slumped there for a moment before falling into two pieces.

Trying on a Robe

I was playing on a MUD that I recently joined, and standing in a small nook or shop with only one exit, to the west.

I had a list of instructions printed on a white piece of paper, and was following them. They involved taking some sort of robe or other wearable item, wearing it, using it's power or just seeing how powerful it was when worn, and then using the 'indeed' emote to indicate that the next person could try it on.

I completed the instructions, but I don't think that there was anyone else there. Then I woke up.

(out of school for the hurricane == increased dream recall)

No Brakes

I was driving the van, with my parents in the other seats as usual. I think I was on some sort of racetrack, or possibly near a town or other area with tight curves.

My parents were telling me to stop, yelling, and I was slamming down on the brakes. The pedal was to the floor, but the vehicle wouldn't stopped.

Classwork

I was in a class, ready to take notes. One of my classmates went up to the board and drew a picture of a hotel, which she said had been present in one of the locations she had visited during the summer. I drew a duplicate on a whiteboard that was on my desk.

Shortly after this, the teacher turned on a movie, and I jotted down notes about the whole thing, which was really very short. She repeated it the movie once more.

We then turned our old desks to the right 90 degrees, and begun talking and such. My legs were lying on top of the desk rather than under the writing surface as they should have been, and I felt warmth radiating from the student in front of me, who I knew to really be a teacher in a student's body. Upon realizing this, I put my legs under the desk again.

She was using my mechanical pencil, and delighted in the fact that there were no broken pieces in it, after which she gave it back.

Driving Backwards

I was in the car's passenger seat, and Mom was driving the car. We were approaching a hill where something had happened involving us and a number of other people, and parked on a overhang where we could watch the road.

I saw another vehicle not too far away which, shortly after we arrived, started up and shifted it's position a bit. We were attempting to find out what had happened to the other people.

We then continued to drive on the hilly area containing the overhang, while Mom looked with binoculars at the other car. Eventually we reached the highway, and began driving backwards into traffic.

I started yelling at Mom, and she said to drive for her. I recklessly drive into the nearest place, a bank, 's parking lot, and after driving over their lawn procured a parking space.

I said sorry for yelling and such, and she said no, she was sorry.

(I think this might have been connected to the previous dream, but it doesn't fit too well as it is.)

Fun In North Africa

I was following Matthew down a series of small slopes, and a few other people from school were following him as well. I would stand on one of my feet and balance, sliding down.

One of the other people asked what would happen if we fell, and Matthew said not to worry. Eventually the slopes ended, and we were free falling. After a bit, a platform with a cup in the center came into view.

The target was to land in the cup, and with Matthew's assurance, I just let myself fall. I think I landed on the platform, but someone else landed in the cup, and we congratulated them.

I wasn't sure if it was me or not, but I was confident, so I thought it was at first, but then I realized that it was a black-painted round ship from Escape Velocity Nova, and that I didn't look like that.

I started running around in boredom and then fell off of the platform. I think the others followed me. Soon, I and a large number of classmates and possibly other people, more than were with us before, were in a water-filled room, with ancient-looking ruins along the sides, like from WarCraft III.

We all got lots of water balloons, as I believe they were throughout the room, and threw them at one another. I frequently shielded my head for some reason. I would swim about in the shallowish water, and evade the people on the ruins' throws.

At one point, I was holding a water balloon under a tarp, and squished it until it exploded. The water shot upward and then caused a torrential downpour on us for a few seconds.

Eventually, two parents entered the area, a couple. The man started commenting that people had said that this was North Africa, but that it didn't look much like it. He stayed, however, and continued to complain.

The staff started taking the area down, and drained the water. We went through a wall into an adjacent room, where they began setting up again. Here, there was also a candy shop and some chairs. We began playing here.

An older man, who looked rather like the complainer, but wasn't the same person, came up to me and sat down opposite me while I was in one of the chairs. Someone had warned me of his coming a few seconds before, calling him "Scrooge".

I recognized him from somewhere before, and as he was looking rather mean, I mentioned something that I had used to convince him to be nice before. His face instantly lit up, and I smiled happily.

(ooo, fun, swimming in dreams.)

Banned from a MUD

I was playing a MUD, trying to kill things but not being too sucessful at it. I quit the mud and started to play a graphical game, but soon force quit that too.

I then got a message that I had been investigated and banned from the MUD for killing 'pregnant' mobs and the like. They had put my name on a webpage for this, and said that if I contacted them we might be able to work this out. I wasn't interested, as I didn't enjoy the MUD anyway.

Marathon Hodgepodge

A fried and I was alternating between a chat room and a Marathon game. We were trying to gather a game on a map that I had made/modified, but everyone just spammed or left. I was at my computer, and occasionally looked at the keyboard or below the monitor.

Eventually, we just started killing each other. It was evidentially taking place in some sort of hostile environment, so I was wearing some kind of heavy-duty mech suit. The suit had a number of weapons attached such as a electric shock, used with the p button, which slowly moved an arm forward and then pumped electricity into the enemy.

With this weapon and my normal ones, I succeeded in killing him once. I then ran out from the tight area we had been in and into the room outside. A boulder that had been bouncing near the exit from the small room finally came to rest. My fried was near it, and I began shooting the boulder. When it exploded, he died.
At the same time, I was surfing the web, looking for pictures, at least while we were in the chat room.
In the chat room, my friend started talking about how much stuff he could have if he got $1,000 a day. I was greatly amazed by these facts, and entered an exclamation mark after which I hit the return key.

I was using the rules command, though, which was responding like the help command on some muds, and instead sent out "rules !". This didn't do much, and I then retyped the !.

(school. is. evil. however, getting up at 5:45 might help solve the problem apparent on the callender.)

Changing Batteries

I was changing my PDA's batteries and started to daydream, having already taken out the old batteries. When I snapped out of it and put in the new batteries, the PDA's power had ran out and my data lost. It didn't, however, go through the usual process after having been reset, but instead just didn't have any data on it.

The Datebook button triggered the ToDo List, oddly, but all the other buttons worked normally.
