The Vase Quest

I was in a distant town with my sister, about to embark on a dangerous quest. One of my friends who had been on a similar quest had already given up and gone back home. I had just found a vase and completed a riddle which had revealed the next part of my quest.

I told my sister I'd be back just as soon as I finished this part, but as I turned my back I started to cry because I knew I might not be back.

I made my way to a island fortification in a small bay and started crossing one of the rope-and-plank bridge which crossed the water between the island and the mainland. When I got to the center of this part of the fortification, I saw someone. I wasn't sure, however, if they were a goblin or a human, so I didn't know if I should attack them or not.

Shortly after I realized it was a goblin, the creature grabbed me by the arm and escorted me back to the mainland. It was at this point that I remembered that goblins were neutral creatures; they could be evil or good, depending on the situation.

As I was escorted off I also realized that they were currently filming a movie here, and that it was actually my quest to be in a movie. I talked to someone nearby and they told me that, in addition to the movie currently being filmed, there were films that were going to be shot tonight and tomorrow. Tonight there was going to be another fantasy film, and tomorrow a film whose main character was inspired by Pooh Bear was going to be filmed.

I got on my bicycle and started riding to the on deck on the other side of the bay from which the movie crews selected cast members. The way was rather rough, going through quite a bit of farmland. Some of the crops had been crudely cut down to make a bit of a path. At one point I had to pull my bike under a plastic fence that someone was putting up. Soon after this I realized that the bike I had been riding was not actually mine, as the handlebars were different and it had hand-brakes, which mine didn't.

A little later I realized I was getting far too close to the shore and grabbed a signpost to keep from falling in. Unsure if I could lift myself back up without falling into the water, I waited there and tried to get other people to help me.

Someone stopped by and taught me a bit about the place where I was, telling me, among other things, that the secret to getting back up was to use my legs, not just my arms, and that if an animal came by they were there to help me, not hurt me. The last fact struck me as odd; I wondered how my teacher knew that all animals would want to help me.
