Highway Explosion

I was riding in a car with a number of other people from some group I was a part of. Suddenly the car stopped for some reason, and we got out.

One of the people there pointed a gun at us and pressed the trigger repeatedly, but didn't have any bullets. Muttering that we weren't worth the $.60 that a bullet would cost, he said that he'd use a cheaper method. Going to the trunk, he got out a fake red rose. The stem extended as he wrapped it around our legs and hands, until we were all tied together.

Looking at my Instant Messenger screen, I could see that Carth, my wife,'s icon was blinking with an exclamation point, and I realized that she knew I was in danger. Suddenly, a large explosion went off, and I figured I was dead.

Dazed, I looked around and realized that I was at the beach I had been to earlier, and that my son was on my back. Running out of the water, noone seemed to notice me, even though were both naked.

Reaching the street connected to the beach, I saw a few people, one of which I recognized to be me. The other was my wife, and the other a friend. They all looked futeristic, and had some weird rollerblade type system on their feet, and were rather young.

They soon entered a building which looked somewhat like a theater, and after getting through the foyer they began to discuss a game that Carth was playing. My friend didn't seem to like it, while Carth loved it. It seemed to be some sort of card battling game, but possibly more complex and using a computer screen for the battling, which took place on a large grid.

(weird person I was there - had a totally different life and name. odd that the wife uses one of my roleplaying names, too.)
