Bombing Run

I was flying a light bomber behind a fellow pilot who I always flew with. He was in a Beaufighter and, shortly after we had dropped our bombs, he dazed off like he usually does. Doing this, his plane dropped nose down, and I followed him.

He barely managed to pull up right before hitting the water, and we turned to fly for base, I at a reasonable height and he just above the water. As we were flying, he passed between a few rocks and a number of Zeros flew out of the water, flying past before he hit them.

Shortly after this he began to drop again, and hit the water. He got out of his plane and led it through the water, as I did with mine, back to base.

After this, we were put back on a training ship, and informed that only one of us would be able to regain his rank.
